The Rag-Yard
A labyrinthine shanty town built from rusted hull plates and shipping crates.
Sprawling a half-mile stretch directly outside Ironport’s eastern wall. A patchwork of wooden huts, patched tents, caravan wagons, and the frames of old traveling shelters. The poorest district in the city, if you could say it’s a part of the city. People find themselves here for 2 reasons. Getting into Ironport or being forced outside of Ironport. A place where violence happens, not openly though. Hunger is common, but there is a sense of community.
A labyrinthine shanty town built from rusted hull plates and shipping crates.
Open-air corrals beside the gate road, where caravans stable their beasts.
The Iron Greens' only tavern and its social anchor, roofed in slate, wood and tin.
A small wooden sanctuary to Bahamut, propped up by timber beams.
The city's great cemetery, beyond the Greens' furthest tents. A small shrine to Kelemvor stands at its center, and most people come only when they must.
Stablemaster and Proprietor of The Dusty Stables. He’s lived outside the walls for most of his life. He’s blunt, hearty and loud enough to scatter a flock of roosting birds. He measures success in full feed troughs, and calm animals. Known by most merchants as the pseudo last stop or first step into Ironport.
Sharp-witted, forthright, and impossible to intimidate. The proprietor of The Rusty Lantern. The only tavern in the Iron Greens. Trusted by locals, she wants her tavern stable, and safe. Has a blunt friendship with Dusty and many Iron Green residents look to her for guidance.
Soft-spoken, sincere, and unshakably patient. He is the caretaker of “The Leaning Chapel” the Church of Eternal Flame church just outside of the walls of Ironport. Sean felt a sense of purpose to help the forgotten people of the city. His kindness and quiet resilience have made him a pillar of this community.
